Description

FA-3 CORROSION INHIBITOR STICKS are a unique combination of an oil soluble water dispersible corrosion inhibitor and a highly concentrated foamer, in a solid stick form.

In numerous oil and gas wells, conventional corrosion treating programs are not economically feasible because of the high cost of chemical treating equipment. Many of the gas wells will load up and even die due to the weight of the inhibitor charge or the influx of water in the tubing after the well is shut in.

FA-3 CORROSION INHIBITORS contain an extremely versatile oil soluble water dispensable inhibitor. The chemical properties of the inhibitor greatly reduce or eliminate the cathodic reaction by chemically absorbing onto the metal surface and forming a persistent film isolating it electronically from the corrosion causing electrolyte.

The melting point of FA-3 is 125ºF. The foaming properties of the stick will help bring the well back in after an adequate shut in time by creating a column of foam. The treated wells can thus be brought back to normal production with little downtime.

Application:

FA-3 CORROSION INHIBITOR STICKS should be used on a regular weekly or biweekly schedule. Adequate corrosion control can only be maintained by the continuous process of filming and replenishing this film onto the metal pipe. We recommend a minimum of 4 sticks be dropped into each well on a biweekly basis. Two sticks should be used for 100 barrels of well production. The corrosion rate should be monitored by corrosion coupons and /or iron counts. Usage should be increased or decreased due to the corrosion rates.

White Chemical International, Inc. will be glad to provide individual corrosion treating recommendations after adequate laboratory and field evaluations.

Packaging:

Available in 75-count ice chest. This will eliminate the sticks from warping and becoming soft.

Precautions:
No special handling or storage required. Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact with eyes, flush with large amounts of fresh water several times. Opening on containers should always be kept closed when not in use to prevent product contamination. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY.
